The KrAZ-5401H2 with ABS and ESP has successfully passed the test trials in Hungary

An upgraded vehicle sample, manufactured on the KrAZ-5401H2 (Euro-5) chassis, with a braking system equipped with an anti-lock braking system test kit (ABS8) with vehicle stability/dynamic stabilization (ESP) of the “Knorr-Bremse” brand, has successfully passed the test trials in Hungary.

Adaptation of the ABS 8 kit with ABS and ESP functions, development of new software for a specific type of vehicle and providing control tests as per compliance with certification requirements was held by specialists of manufacturer-company  “Knorr-Bremse Fekrendszerek Kft.” (Hungary) . The next stage in the full cycle of vehicle certification tests for accordance with UNECE Regulation No. 13 with a series of amendments 11 (Brake Properties of the Vehicle) was carried out by accredited Technical Services Specialist "JAFI-AUTOKUT Engineering Ltd." at the test ground. Following the results of test trials series, that recorded a positive result, a test report (testing record sheet) was drawn up.

The protocol of certification tests received by PJSC "AvtoKrAZ" confirms that the KrAZ -5401B2 (platform), KrAZ-5401K2 (municipal) and KrAZ-5401Н2 (chassis) with a braking system equipped with an ABS 8 kit with ABS and ESP functions , meet the requirements of UNECE Regulation No. 13 with a series of amendments 11.

At present, “AutoKrAZ” PJSC in cooperation with State Enterprise "State Motor Transport Research and Design Institute" works on confirming compliance with all mandatory certification requirements of this type of wheeled vehicles and putting them to list of the certified serial products.

As it is known, at the domestic level, provides for put into operation new requirements for municipal vehicles with a body superstructure, depending on the customer's request: for garbage, vans, refrigeration equipment, road-building, etc. In order to increase traffic safety, prevent accidents, and resolve extreme situations occurring on roads, the braking system of such vehicles must be equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS8) with a system of dynamic stabilization of the vehicle's movement.
