Garbage and snow removal equipment was mounted on the KrAZ-5401Н2 chassis by Kremenchug manufacturer “Viva”, end user is municipal company “Unitary Enterprise “Our Home”.
The KrAZ-5401Н2 5 tonnes chassis chosen by the customer for equipment installation becomes widely popular with city crews despite its young age (period of birth: December of 2016). Excellent performance, maneuverability and fuel efficiency distinguish this vehicle from its counterparts. Specifications: 4х2 axle configuration, diesel 4-cylinders inline Euro-5 engine rated at 170hp, featuring better fuel economy, 6-speed manual transmission, comfortable two-seat cab like on all the models in the lineup of municipal vehicles.
The KrAZ-5401 is dual-purpose special vehicle. Throughout the year it will be used as garbage truck and in winter it will be provided with snow plough for snow clearance. The garbage truck is used for picking up solid municipal waste from Euro bins, compacting and moving to landfills over hard-surfaced roads. Garbage equipment includes 12 cu.m hopper for solid waste with capacity of 4200 kg, side loading system with hydraulically driven work tools and crane with lifting capacity of 650 kg.
2,5 m wide angled snow plough is provided with automatic control system, which allows the driver to control snow plough from the inside the truck cab.
Zaporozhye is another region on the map of Ukraine where new powerful municipal vehicle will be used. We hope that the first fruit will be followed by street sweepers, sewage suction trucks, street washers and other KrAZ-based special vehicles.
