According to AUTO-Consulting the Minister of Defence of Ukraine General Stepan Poltorak and the secretary of NSDC Alexander Turchinov went to ATO zone (Lugansk and Donetsk regions) by KrAZ-Cougar vehicle at the end of last week. Senior officials were on the frontline near Avdeyevka industrial area at the height of the most violent fighting. The Minister of Defence awarded soldiers who take strenuous efforts to hold positions at Avdeyevka.
We are sure that that it is no coincidence that Mr.Poltorak and Mr.Turchinov have chosen KrAZ-Cougar armored vehicle to go to action area. This armored vehicle was specifically designed to provide safety for crew and meets ballistic protection level CEN BR6 and floor protection 2 grenades DM51, since the moment of entering into service (2014) with National Guard, State Border Service and various special forces detachments this vehicle saved lives of Ukrainian soldiers again and again. Its armor provided security for senior officials during attack and saved life of Alexander Turchinov who thanked KrAZ management for reliability of this armored vehicle.
It should be recalled that the incident involving the secretary of NSDC happened in the beginning of the previous year during his trip in the vicinity of Donetsk airport. During attack fragments damaged vehicle body and punctured the tire. However, the armor of Cougar saved Turchinov and crew members. By the way, Cougars were not only in attacks but also in mine explosions, they were damaged but crew members survived. Many vehicles damaged in combat including several KrAZ-Cougars were restored by Kremenchug Automobile Plant at its own cost and transferred to soldiers in running condition.

Speed: 105 km/h, fuel consumption: 25 l/100 km with 180l fuel tank. Vehicle can be provided with various combat modules and turrets, 7,62 mm or 12,7 mm gun or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
