40 years ago, in February of 1976, Production Association “AutoKrAZ” was founded in compliance with Order No 17 of the Ministry of Automotive Industry of USSR. Initially it included six specialized enterprises: Kremenchug Automobile Plant (head enterprise), Tokmak Press-Forging Plant, Kamenets-Podolskiy Automotive Components Factory, Simferopol Steering Wheel Factory, Kremenchug Wheel Plant, Zhdanov (Mariupol) Radiator Factory. Later, PA “AutoKrAZ” was joined by Sinelnikovo Spring Factory in 1983 and Poltava Brake Components Plant in 1986. The production association was established to create integrated process facilities for production of heavy-duty trucks.
Currently the companies of KrAZ Group are strategic partners, unity of which has been proven by many years of partnership. Withdrawal of Kremenchug Wheel Plant and Sinelnikovo Spring Factory in late 1980s did not affect operation of KrAZ Group.
Today KrAZ Group companies employ about 5500 Ukrainians. The head company, “AutoKrAZ” is still giving the lead, and Ukrainian engineering companies being a part of KrAZ Group manufacture their products for its needs. Despite extended economic decline in Ukraine aggravated by political crisis KrAZ Group companies maintain production rate revving up production and fulfill their obligations to their staff and donate to budgets of different levels. We congratulate staff of KrAZ Group companies on occasion of 40th anniversary of establishment, we wish them fruitful work, stability and prosperity for the welfare of Ukraine.
