In honor of the professional holiday, the Day of Machine Builder, “AutoKrAZ” honored its best performers. Special events dedicated to this holiday took pace on October 2 on the company’s proving ground and in the meeting room of the administration office. At numerous requests of the plant workers on the Day of Machine Builder family members of and friends of employees, which could not visit the motor show on the proving ground in August on the occasion of celebration of the company’s 70th anniversary, could pass freely into the territory.
The site near helicopter pad where numerous vehicles were exhibited was very crowded. All those who came could see 23 vehicles including rare and mass produced ones and new models of KrAZ vehicles for use in military, agricultural and public works sectors.
The main show has taken place on the company’s proving ground. After congratulatory speech of KrAZ General Director Mr.Roman Chernyak and “Kremenchugmyaso” General Manager Mrs. Irina Drozdova the attendees could see a traditional parade of convoy of vehicles passing in front of the viewing stand of the proving ground. There has been no such spectacular event at KrAZ as the show delivered by test drivers in honor of the professional holiday. Six military vehicles such as KrAZ-Spartan, KrAZ-Cougar, KrAZ-Fiona, KrAZ-Shrek, KrAZ -6322 and KrAZ-5233 demonstrated their off-road ability, passing obstacles course in pairs and four vehicles at the same time on different tracks. The visitors applauded the skills of drivers and ability of KrAZ vehicles that drove over various obstacles. Even heavy armored vehicles easily negotiated concrete obstacles, wading trough and sand pit.
In accordance with tradition management and trade union representatives awarded corporate decorations such as “AutoKrAZ” Medals of Merit of I- IV degrees, Certificates of Appreciation, treasured gifts and performance bonuses in the meeting room. The best performers have been included on the plant honor roll.
The festive celebration ended with holiday concert.
