KrAZ Cougar is again in service! Another armored vehicle repaired at the plant went to tackle its job and protect border guards. This vehicle was delivered to the plant facilities 3 months ago, and then it was a huge pile of metal warped by explosion. “Cratering explosion, - said soldiers who came to collect the vehicle, - turns tanks and APCs inside out. And Cougar came apart, the explosion was pretty devastating. The third time (the vehicle was under shooting attack twice: the crew was safe and sound but Cougar had to be refurbished) was deadly for it. The crew has survived as the armored vehicle protected soldiers against blast wave. Looking at smashed Cougar we thought that it can not be refurbished. But thanks to your efforts our Cougar is shiny new. »
General Director of “AutoKrAZ” Mr. Roman Chernyak who transferred refurbished vehicle to border guards said that the number of vehicles damaged in combat and refurbished by the company totals to 30. He emphasized that KrAZ united with all the patriots of the country to do the best to get a victory as soon as possible: this includes production of mass-produced and development of new military vehicles, repair of vehicles damaged in combat, field visits of repair teams to military units located in conflict zones for technical support, etc. As for this vehicle, the automobile plant repaired it at its own expense. Work Completion Report includes 38 items refurbished including chassis and body, replaced glass, front axle, steering propeller shaft, engine control unit, radiator, repaired engine, 4 main wheels and 1 additional wheel mounted, new front bumper made and fitted, etc. To make the return trip more pleasant and short he gave food package to each soldier.
