This is how numerous attendees of the Exhibition Voluntary Defind-2 held May 22-23 inKiev defined national military vehicle KrAZ. There was a great deal of them, mostly target audience: heads and officers of Ukrainian defence enforcement agencies, public health care, logistics service, voluntary organizations, media personnel. The company’s stand was lively throughout the exhibition, rich in negotiations, close up looks, discussions between manufacturer and professionals. Along with well known to law enforcement agencies and voluntary organizations upgraded special armored diesel-powered KrAZ-Cougar vehicles and two KrAZ-Spartan used for carrying personnel, reconnaissance, in various tactical tasks and peacekeeping missions, a wide range of tasks for defence enforcement agencies that other wheeled vehicles can not tackle another two novelties have been unveiled. The products that have gone on display for the first time ever in Ukraine were the KrAZ-7634НЕ 8х8 heavy-duty multipurpose chassis cab (counterpart of the МАZ-543 chassis cab) used for carrying various heavy equipment and the KrAZ-5401Н2 light-sized chassis cab upfitted with refrigerated box.
Attendees who came to see KrAZ army vehicles have been lavish with fulsome praise, a new 8x8 KrAZ chassis cab was a great success, earlier it was built by Kremenchug Automobile Plant for exportation and was not sold in Ukraine. Missilemen, artillerists, communications men have been generous with questions about technical specifications, trying to imagine how heavy equipment would fit on it.
Upgraded KrAZ-Cougar and KrAZ-Spartan vehicles got high marks from defence enforcement agencies heads and officers. General Staff top officers and presidential advisor Mr. Yuriy Biryukov who attended the stand said they were glad manufacturer’s efforts. On top of everything else, they told about major rework such as chassis extension, high tires, divided windshield, large tires on KrAZ-Spartan vehicles and many other things that will greatly improve off road performance and their combat characteristics.
Logistics services showed interest in refrigerated box mounted on the KrAZ-5401Н2 chassis. They told about a great demand for this kind of vehicles for carrying food to combat zone, training and military units.
The Exhibition Voluntary Defind-2 was very fruitful. National manufacturer of military vehicles “AutoKrAZ” expects that new KrAZ vehicles will help defenders of the Fatherland protect and defend borders, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
