“AutoKrAZ” showcased two latest additions to its lineup such as the 4x2 KrAZ-5401K2 road maintenance vehicle with sand spreading and street washing equipment and snow plow and the 6x4 road maintenance vehicle with salt spreading and snow removal equipment mounted on the KrAZ-7511C4 dump truck at the exhibition of road-building vehicles held as part of the International Forum for Highways and Bridges Construction, Design and Maintenance November 12-14 in Kiev.
Both vehicles have been built in partnership between “AutoKrAZ” and “Spetsbudmash”. The special vehicles can be used all year round due to easy equipment removal and mounting. In summer, the KrAZ-5401К2 vehicle will be used for street washing and watering while in winter it will clear snow and spread sand onto roads. The KrAZ-7511C4 vehicle will be used for snow clearing and spreading de-icers onto roads in winter and for carrying various cargoes in dump body in summer.
Both road maintenance vehicles are provided with the Hubei (MAN-F2000) cab offering ergonomic comforts.
Throughput the exhibition duration KrAZ’s stand has been visited by many senior officials of regional highway maintenance agencies. They had an up-close look at domestic vehicles on display at the exhibition and lineup of KrAZ vehicles for municipal use. Many of them said they operated our vehicles and were glad with them. They also told about long-term financial shortfall and lack of funding for purchase of new vehicles while public roads administrations’ fleets need significant upgrading. According to them, if each public roads administration had in its fleet state of the art and efficient vehicles built by KrAZ, such as snow cutter blowers, snow removal, salt and sand spreading, street washing, street sweeping, patch repair and other special vehicles, the number of road accidents would be dramatically reduced, public and emergency vehicles would be able to keep to their schedule, accident rate would decrease. In addition, towns and cities of our country would be cleaner than now.
