18 tones vehicle has been developed in accordance with Research and Development Plan for 2017. The KrAZ-6511Н2 chassis cab is used for conversion into special vehicle with industrial equipment for use on hard-surfaced roads.
This chassis cab does not differ much from its counterparts: Euro 5 engine rated at 300hp, the 9JS150ТА-В double-range 9-speed transmission, comfortable flat nose cab, integral hydraulic power steering. However, there is a feature distinguishing this chassis cab from its predecessors: SAF Holland rear lift axle. Axle tube is raised automatically when axle load is reduced. Rear lift axle suspension is air-operated with two hydraulic shock absorbers. Rear lift axle is used to reduce fuel consumption and tire wear when the vehicle is empty. After loading the axle lowers automatically and the vehicle is operated all of its three-axle counterparts.
New chassis cab lineup is developed due to efforts taken by the company to substitute imported vehicles and enlarge its footprint in domestic and foreign markets. These chassis cab trucks available in various axle configurations and payload capacities will make it possible for “AutoKrAZ” to provide Ukrainian market with efficient domestic special vehicles.
