“AutoKrAZ”, the only domestic complete production cycle manufacturer of trucks is concerned about defiance by separate officials of decision of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council enacted by the Decree of President Pyotr Porosjenko on 17th of October 2016 concerning sanctions against Russian manufacturer of KamAZ trucks. The National Security and Defence Council resolved to stop trade for 1 year with complete cessation of deliveries of KamAZ trucks to Ukraine.
However, winner of bid announced by PJSC ‘Ukrgazdobycha”, PJSC “Avtotransportnik” offered the ЕW25-М1 telescopic boom excavator based on the КАМАZ-43118 6х6 chassis. Competitive bidding procedure took place on 14.11.2016, the winner was announced in the last days of the previous year. How and why PJSC “Avtotransportnik” decided to breach the Decree of the President of Ukraine and why customer opted for KamAZ vehicles being aware of this Decree, nobody knows.
We consider this step as unpatriotic, disgraceful and harmful for Ukraine’s economy as sanctions have been imposed by NSDCU on Russia ad KAMAZ to resists to Russian aggression in Donbass and Crimea. “KamAZ” supplied and supplies vehicles to Russian Army, this company won multibillion bids for supply of vehicles for needs of the Ministry of Defence of Russia. What is more, its vehicles are symbol of so called “humanitarian convoys” and “fraternal military support”, convoys of KamAZ vehicles regularly cross borders of Ukraine despite numerous protests of Ukrainian authorities. Military KamAZ vehicles are a clear evidence of Russian aggression.
However, according to AUTO-Consulting, in 2016 КamAZ sold 105 3,5–ton and more vehicles in Ukraine. In other words, Ukraine funded economy of Russian Federation disregarding Decrees adopted by the Government.
Staff of “AutoKrAZ” asks officials, senior staff of companies including those responsible for state-funded purchase to realize that every grivna paid to aggressor comes back in form of military vehicles and weapons and claims lives of Ukrainian warriors. We ask all Ukrainian community and government to check for violations and bring to justice those responsible for that.
