“AutoKrAZ“ has been awarded a contract for delivery of KrAZ-based special vehicles for municipal services of Dnepropetrovsk. The bid was launched by the Housing, Utilities and Construction Department of Dnepropetrovsk Region State Administration. In compliance with bid conditions the winner will have to supply 4 sewage trucks.

Except “AutoKrAZ”, there were six other bidders, which offered to mount special vehicle on imported chassis. KrAZ trucks were the most suitable in terms of performance required as compared to competitors. Moreover, “AutoKrAZ”  is glad with transparency of the bid and that the contract was awarded to domestic manufacturer as required by policy announced by Ukrainian government  and aimed at priority of domestic products over foreign ones.

In accordance with bid conditions special vehicles will be based on the KrAZ-6511Н4 6х4 cabover chassis of new generation.

Municipal vehicles are used for loading, carrying and draining liquids non containing flammables and explosives. Special equipment includes tank, pump with vacuum system, intake port with suction hose, pneumatic and electrical system.

Today these chassis for conversion into special vehicles are launched in production at Kremenchug Automobile plant .
