KrAZ Performs Contracts Entered into with ARE

26 December, 2014

Completion of a series of big contracts entered into with the Ministry of Defence of the Arab Republic of Egypt was a final chord in the outgoing year.  Under contractual obligations, the company has built, submitted for inspection and shipped a large batch of KrAZ trucks. The KrAZ-6322 platform trucks account for over 70 percent of the output totaling to over 100 6x6 AWD trucks, the rest of shipped vehicles were the KrAZ-63221 chassis cabs. All the trucks have been manufactured in standard configuration: the YaMZ-238DЕ diesel engine rated at 330hp, the 9JS150ТА transmission and the МFZ-430 clutch.

Shipment was preceded by inspection carried out by the customer’s representatives, officers of the Vehicle Department of Egyptian MOD in mid-December. Officers carefully checked vehicles for conformity to all the contractual obligations: compliance of trucks with contract specifications, speed and traction performance.

The customer’s representatives were glad with inspection results. They praised excellent performance and maneuverability of trucks during testing on public roads and obstacles of the automobile plant proving ground.

It should be mentioned that the number of trucks delivered to Egyptian MOD this year under separate contracts exceeds 400 units. This result exceeds last year’s figure. According to officers, trucks previously delivered for the ARE MOD perform well with no complaints, this why the reason for choosing KrAZ trucks is obvious.

At different times, since 1961 Kremenchug Automobile plant has delivered to Egypt over 4000 KrAZ trucks.
