The eleventh edition of the International Specialized Exhibition Arms and Security 2014 was held September 24-27 in the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev. “AutoKrAZ” displayed two 4x4 vehicles: the KrAZ-5233ВЕ Spetsnaz AWD vehicle and the Cougar APC.
The exhibition was held under the auspices of the Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine and organized by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defence, Security Service and State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Turchinov, Minister of Interior of Ukraine A.Avakov, Minister of Defence V.Geletey and Commander in Chief of National Guard of Ukraine S.Poltorak attended the inauguration of the exhibition.
“AutoKrAZ” displayed two vehicles: the KrAZ-5233ВЕ Spetsnaz in standard specification, one of its most popular models used for carrying military personnel, Special Forces and UNO piece-keeping forces, towing 152 mm caliber artillery systems and trailers over all kinds of roads and terrains.
The other vehicle is the Cougar multirole armored vehicle (4х4) designed for various tasks. The Сougar-ASC vehicle meets BR6 protection level. Additional equipment includes Run-fat devices in tires, bucket seats, GPS and turret on roof. The engine is Toyota, V8, rated at 235 hp. Fuel tank with capacity of 140 l. Top speed: 150 km/h.
KrAZ stand was one of the most attended. The vehicles received close attention and high praise from officials of the Ministry of Interior, Security Service and Armed Forces of Ukraine, foreign army officers.
During the exhibition, KrAZ officials had a series of meetings with officials of Ukroboronprom, Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, domestic and foreign companies engaged in development and manufacture of weapons and military equipment, arms business partners and foreign customers of defence products. During negotiations, KrAZ officials established links and discussed a series of questions with prospective partners, this entitles us to have confidence in extension of global reach and receipt of guaranteed government orders.
