Kremenchug Automobile Plant has built new 5 and 9 cu.m. tank trucks based on the KrAZ-5233ВЕ and KrAZ-6322 chassis according to Research and Development Plan.
The АCP-5(5233) and АCP-9(6322) tank trucks are used for carrying and storing drinking water in the field. It is no coincidence that the KrAZ-5233 and KrAZ-6322 AWD trucks have been chosen for transforming into tank trucks. They offer the best off road ability and can deliver drinking water to any destination on any roads and terrains and in harsh environment typical for use in military units and frontline. Excellent off road ability is due to wide section tires with central tire inflation system and powerful engine rated at 330hp. Reliability is due to very strong chassis frame consisting of side members made of hot-rolled channel bars. Chassis frame is ideally suited for mounting any type of equipment.
Two-section 5 cu.m. and three-section 9 cum. thermally insulated tanks are provided with electrically-controlled vacuum filling system, section filling time is 15-25 min. The tank and its pipes are made of stainless steel. Thermal insulation makes it possible for water temperature not to change more than 2 0 within 10 hours.
Recent years have seen numerous efforts of domestic manufacturer «KrAZ” to respond to wishes of the military who want to have various special vehicles in their fleet for efficient execution of missions. The company considered experience of using such vehicles in combat zone in the east of our country, including use vehicles with conventional cab that helps save lives of personnel in case of explosion under the vehicle. “AutoKrAZ” will continue to develop the lineup of KrAZ military vehicles to speed up reestablishment of peace in our country, facilitate execution of missions and save people’s lives.
