“AutoKrAZ”, the only Ukrainian complete-cycle manufacturer of trucks, the largest taxpayer in Kremenchug and Poltava region, in 2017 paid 13 percent more in taxes from 2016. Last year the company paid about UAH 162m in taxes. At the same time, Kremenchug Automobile Plant paid almost UAH 109m to national budget, up 10 percent from a year ago. Unified social contribution accounts for about UAH 40m of this amount, TVA – over UAH 67m.
Traditionally, “KrAZ” is one to major contributors to Kremenchug budget. Previous year the company paid almost UAH 53m to municipal treasury, up 17,4 percent from 2016. This amount comprises UAH 32, 2m of personal income tax, (up 26 percent from 2016), almost UAH 18m of land rent, and over UAH 2,7 m of military tax. Such an increase in taxes paid to municipal treasury is due to increase in personal income tax, up 34 percent in environmental tax and up 22 percent in military tax.
In whole, “AutoKrAZ” in 2017 managed to pay all the due taxes to the government given negative effects of economic and political crisis in the country and depression in automotive industry. It is obvious that public treasury would get more contributions from “KrAZ” in case of procurement of its products using budget funds, including public contracts for military vehicles financed with war tax money UAH 15bln paid by Ukrainians in 2017 (according to State Fiscal Service of Ukraine). Moreover, the company’s production capacity exceeds 5000 units a year and is not utilized to the full.
The company has fulfilled social obligations assumed in 2017. Employees were given a raise three times during the year, with average salary of UAH 5828, up 26 percent from 2016.
This year “AutoKrAZ” is determined to find opportunities to increase employment benefits for its employees, improve their working conditions and continue refurbishment of social facilities.
