At the Town Day “KrAZ” made a heartwarming gift to a group of its veterans, a meeting at their plant. Almost 40 former workers of the automated workshop came to visit the automobile plant late last week. The program for visit of these guests did not differ from similar meetings regularly held at Kremenchug Automobile Plant with active involvement of the Council of Veterans and funding of KrAZ administration. Changes are made only to a list of visitors because the Council of Veterans tries to pay attention to all the five thousand members of Veterans Organization of Kremenchug Automobile Plant. Varied entertainment program for this day traditionally included visit of new museum of the company’s history, the company’s automated workshop, motor show at the proving ground and, as usually, festal dinner in one of the company’s foodservice centre canteens.
Elderly people did not hide their astonishment, interest, positive emotions because for most of them this was the fist meeting after their retirement. Automated workshop they got in after many years has been highly emotional. Almost all of those present were deeply moved, confessing that pleasant for ear and usual sound of operating machinery evoked lots of memories about youth, united staff, work at the plant. They added they immediately imagined girls with red kerchiefs round their heads who worker there during their employment period in red-headed Komsomol team.
The company’s proving ground with KrAZ truck easily driving over harsh obstacles has been another place causing astonishment, admiration and cheer from our veterans. Applause, lively discussion, acknowledgment s to test driver, taking photos as memento have been bright events of the visit to the proving ground.
Gray-haired visitors talked, took pictures, group and singles ones, along the route. After tasting delicious food cooked by foodservice centre workers, they thanked current management of the company and workshop for the opportunity to come back to early days, for maintaining the company, attention to those who devoted some decades of their life to KrAZ.
