New garbage truck based on the KrAZ-5401 has been transferred to Zhydachiv town council that made this valuable gift to its residents on occasion of Town Day.  Special rear loader purchased undergoes standard registration and testing and then it will serve to the community by cleaning the town. Garbage-collection equipment “VLIV Medium” made by “Viva” is mounted on the KrAZ-5401 two-axle chassis, one of newly-developed models of “AutoKrAZ”. Euro 5 diesel engine coupled with double-range manual transmission is rated at 330hp, GVW is 21 tonnes. The vehicle is provided with 17 cu.m. hopper for carrying municipal solid waste with weight of up to 7,8 tonnes. Work tools are hydraulically driven, compaction ratio is 1:4.

A big portion of funding for purchase of new municipal vehicle came from the budget of Lviv Regional State Administration, the rest came from local budget. The vehicle will be on the books of Zhydachiv community facilities department. Domestic manufacturer Kremenchug Automobile Plant noted with satisfaction that home sales market is expanding. KrAZ is waiting for new orders: you’re your towns and small towns cleaner.
