In March “AutoKrAZ” produced almost UAH 79m worth of products, up 139, 4 percent from the previous month. Last month 46 vehicles rolled off the company’s main assembly line from 30 units in February. Platform trucks account for 69 percent of the total amount of vehicles, chassis cabs for 24 percent, truck tractors for 7 percent.  61 percent of the total amount of vehicles is intended for sales in domestic market, the rest is to be exported.  

In the first quarter of this year “AutoKrAZ” manufactured 140 vehicles, most of them, 63 percent, were made to fulfill foreign trade contracts. Except vehicles, the company built 5 towed vehicles during January-March, while in the previous year no such vehicles were produced in the first quarter.

Since the start of the year the company could increase production of spare parts, which exceeded almost by 20 percent the figure achieved in the first quarter of the previous year.  What is more, production of castings for the period in question went up to 630 tonnes or USD 63m, up almost 30 percent from the previous year.   

As previously stated the company failed to achieve planned goals in the first quarter for a number of reasons beyond the company’s control including disruptions in supplies of imported components and force majeure affecting customers.  However, KrAZ intends to make up for lost time in the months that will follow. Moreover, despite economic difficulties and political situation KrAZ is determined in the same way as before to continue developing social projects, upgrade equipment and improve manufacture processes. Efforts are taken to develop new vehicles, reduce non-manufacturing costs and improve quality of products.
