“KrAZ” Shows Growth

“AutoKrAZ” movers forward and shows increase in output and sales. 843 vehicles have been built by Kremenchug Automobile Plant since the beginning of 2015, up 15 percent as compared to the same period a year ago.

The company’s sales grew 8 percent as compared to January-August period of the previous year. 758 vehicles have been shipped to customers. Export sales account only for 28 percent of the total number of shipped vehicles, 72 percent have been shipped to Ukrainian customers.

Except trucks the company has manufactured and shipped 5 semi-trailers and 14 trailers for the period in question, this is 7 times more than for the same period of last year.

In August “AutoKrAZ” manufactured 134 trucks, up almost 9 percent as compared to the same period a year ago and up 1,5 percent from this July’s figure.   Platform trucks account for 75 percent of the total output, chassis cabs for 17 percent, truck tractors for 7 percent, special vehicles for 1 percent. Most trucks made in August, 81 percent, are intended for inner market, the rest, 19 percent, are to be exported. 

“AutoKrAZ” celebrated on August 28 a landmark event in its history: 70th anniversary of its foundation.

Festivities have taken place on the company’s proving ground in a family atmosphere. Here the best workers and veterans have been awarded governmental and corporate decorations, there have been a parade of historical, mass-produced and new vehicles built by KrAZ and course over proving ground obstacles.

The highlight of the celebration was a debut of the KrAZ Feona armored vehicle based on the KrAZ-6322 chassis. It features monocoque armored hull providing reliable protection for 12 crewmembers against small arms fire and landmine explosion.

Another outstanding event to commemorate the company‘s anniversary was an inauguration of the Museum of Kremenchug Automobile Plant History.

“AutoKrAZ” is determined to stay strong in pursuit of its goals, while increasing the output and sales, developing and manufacturing new models and improving quality of its products and preparing facilities for operation in winder period.
