“AutoKrAZ” manufactured equipment intended for use in the automotive classroom of the Academy of National Guard of Ukraine (Kharkov). Military academy officials asked the company about it at the end of last year after they realized efficiency of training in similar classroom of the company when the academy students were passing their practical training. Under the agreement, Kremenchug Automobile Plant made a series of sectioned units of the KrAZ-6322 truck such as engine, transmission, clutch, two transfer cases (with differential and parking brake), front, middle and rear axle (all equipment in duplicate: sectioned and not sectioned units). In addition, the company manufactured mock up model of the KrAZ-6322 truck provided with all the units and systems that are sectioned for clarity. This training aid is not a dummy rather simulator. Dashboard is operating, warning lights illuminate when turning the ignition key, which allows students to check function. Trainees can easily see operation of running gear and powertrain units that are not seen when the vehicle moves.
The automotive classroom will be equipped for engineering school students majoring in motor transport. Learning in such a classroom will make it possible to simplify training for military students and clearly illustrate maintenance of the vehicle.
Except sectioned units the automobile plant has also manufactured additional devices for these units and mobile stands that demonstrate operation of major systems of the vehicle: electrical, pneumatic and fuel systems. Microprocessors provided in the diagram will allow students to watch operation of devices that maintain operation of all the systems of the vehicle.
The automotive class is scheduled to be put in commission this month after transportation and installation.
It should be noted that this order is very important for “AutoKrAZ”, because efficient training for maintenance staff both theoretical and practical will allow students to gain necessary skills in carrying out repair and maintenance of KrAZ trucks in time.
