A group of cadets of the National academy of the National Guard of Ukraine started on 17 November practical training that will end on 29 November. Late October officials of the Academy asked to conduct practical training for 16 cadets of engineering department that pursue degree in Motor Transport at production facilities of “AutoKrAZ”. KrAZ was very responsive to request of the head of educational establishment and made it possible for future officers to take a close look at design, assembly process and maintenance of domestic trucks free of charge.
To make training more efficient, cadets have been divided into two groups. Each group in turn has its practical training at assembly and manufacturing facilities such as transfer case and shaft assembly area (transfer case workshop), reduction gear assembly area (machine assembly shop No 1), axle assembly area (machine assembly shop No 2), development and assembly shops. Within two weeks, cadets will gain knowledge to be of service in their work.
Practical training is followed by two-day refresher course in the Training Centre of the company. Cadets will be given summative lectures in design, maintenance and repair of KrAZ trucks delivered by “AutoKrAZ” to the National Guard, then cadets will take exam.
According to the academy officials, practical training at production facilities of the manufacturer will allow cadets to see vehicle assembly process from manufacture of separate parts to truck rolling off production line of the automobile plant. Knowledge of vehicle design, its separate parts and units will help cadets carry out repair and maintenance of KrAZ trucks in timely and professional way.
