“AutoKrAZ” in partnership with its long-term partner “Spetsbudmash” (Brovary) has developed and built new domestic road maintenance vehicles. One of them is the KrAZ-5401Н2 truck provided with sand spreading and street washing equipment. The vehicle is based on a new KrAZ-5401 4х2 chassis built to achieve maximum commonality and adaptation to different power packs and body superstructures. The equipment can be easily removed and refitted, this special vehicle can be used all year round.
The KrAZ-5401Н2 road maintenance vehicle is provided with state of the art comfortable flat-nose cab Hubei (MAN-F2000) with the best possible value for money. In addition, this novelty is powered with the YaMZ-536 inline-six engine (Euro 4) rated at 312hp provided with exhaust recirculation system having silencer with built-in catalyst converter. The engine can be adapted to meet Euro-5 emissions standard without significant costs. The power pack includes the MFZ 430 single disc clutch and the 9JS150ТА transmission. Weichai or Deutz engines are available as option.
Another novelty for public utilities and highway maintenance services is a versatile road maintenance vehicle provided with salt spreading and snow clearing equipment. The special vehicle is used to spread ice melting products and clear snow from roads. Salt spreading equipment is fully automatic, on-board computer makes possible for the driver to adjust operation parameters depending on weather conditions without leaving the cab.
The new road maintenance vehicle is based on the 6х4 KrAZ-7511С4 three-axle dump truck offering payload capacity increased to 27 tonnes. The truck is powered with the WP12.400E40 diesel inline engine rated at 400hp that meets Euro-4 emissions standard and can be adapted to meet Euro-5. It is provided with SCR that offers some environmental advantages: extremely low exhaust emissions, reduced fuel consumption and content of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases. The engine is coupled with the MFZ-430 clutch and the 9JS200ТА transmission.
The KrAZ-7511С4 dump truck as well as the first novelty is provided with the Hubei (MAN-F2000) cab that offers excellent ergonomic working conditions for driver: comfortable air-suspended seat, tilt and height adjustable steering column, functional dashboard and many other features everything for comfort and less fatigue.
The KrAZ-7511С4 dump truck is provided with 14 cu.m. half round dump body with Binotto telescopic hoist. Salt spreading snow removal equipment can be easily removed, during warm season this vehicle can be used as dump truck for carrying various loads.
These new domestic road maintenance vehicles based on the KrAZ chassis will go on display at the twelfth edition of the International Specialized Exhibition KommunTekh-2014 held November 4-6 in Kiev.
