Last week senior officers of the company visited the Republic of Azerbaijan. The visit was aimed at development of cooperation between the Kremenchug Automobile Plant and traditional customers and attraction of new prospective players of the country’s automotive market, dealers’ network establishment, warranty and after-sales service.  

During the visit a series of meetings was held with Chamber of Commerce and Industry and embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan, managers of state-owned companies such as “SumgaitTechnologicalPark”, “Baku Worker”, “Azneftemach”, large oil companies and private business entities. The main question on the agenda was close up-look at new models of KrAZ trucks, joint efforts for promotion of mass produced and new KrAZ trucks, refurbishment of KrAZ fleet.

It should be mentioned that export priorities of “AutoKrAZ” are various chassis cabs available in 6х4, 6х6, 8х4 and 8х6 axle configurations. Primary customers for them are engineering plants and oil companies.  However, the needs of this country grow considerably amid economy revival and due to preparation for the first European Olympic Games to take place in summer 2015 inBaku. There is a chance to increase deliveries of KrAZ dump trucks, truck tractors, semitrailers and various special vehicles along with chassis cabs.

The visit to Azerbaijan proved to be very fruitful. A series of agreements for delivery of KrAZ trucks to Azerbaijani engineering pants for fitting with various equipment and special vehicles to oil companies for repair and geologic exploration have been entered into, efforts are underway to set up spare parts store. The visit results give confidence in more effective cooperation between the Kremenchug Automobile Plant and Azerbaijan companies n the future.
