“AutoKrAZ” Finished the Year on a Production High

The year 2013 was successful for “AutoKrAZ” in terms of production growth. 930 vehicles rolled off the assembly line of the automobile plant. “AutoKrAZ” recorded growth rate of 115,1 percent as compared to 2012. This has been achieved due to steps taken by the company management such as introduction of new models and variants to the market, performance improvement, favorable sales terms, price optimization and entry into new markets.   

It should be mentioned that in the second half-year “AutoKrAZ” has almost doubled production with 602 vehicles compared to the first half-year.

Chassis cabs account for 46 percent of total output, platform trucks - 31 percent, truck tractors – 20 percent,  the rest is represented by dump trucks and special vehicles.  As PJSC “AutoKrAZ” is export-oriented company, its activity was focused mainly on performance of foreign economic contracts.

Growth rate is also reported in other business areas of the company. “AutoKrAZ” reported increase in production of various products delivered under cooperation agreement.  Production of castings increased 28 percent to UAH 53 500 000. The company produced USD 47 100 000 worth of spare parts and other products, which is 37 percent higher than in 2012.

In 2013, vigorous efforts were made at “AutoKrAZ” to develop new models and upgrade mass production vehicles. Moreover, the company completed homologation of a new family of the KrAZ cabover trucks and vehicles with forward tilting bonnet, vehicles with forward tilting bonnet entered mass production, many quality and safety improvement measures were implemented.  

Among the most important achievements of 2013 was development, production and successful operation tests of new generation vehicles such as the KrAZ-6511С4 grain  road train Euro 4 with ergonomic working environment for driver, dump body volume increased to 75 cubic metres and reduced fuel consumption. Another novelty was the KrAZ-5401К2А chassis cab powered with gas engine meeting Euro 5 emission standards for municipal services.

In 2014 the company’s management and staff of the Kremenchug Automobile Plant will focus their efforts on ramping up production, development of new models, vehicle quality and performance improvement.
